Pakistan is in bad shape

Kashmir Family Aid is distinctly secular. In that secularism, I deal with people of all faiths and convictions and I go back and forth with a number of people…Pakistani army personnel, administrative government people, an ex-jihadist, a carpet manufacturer, journalists, wealthy middle class types, etc. In this eclectic group is a Pakistani man who demonstrates a particularly potent courage. He’s a Christian pastor. Following is his letter to me and a few of his friends here in the U.S. It came this morning. It’s a good profile of what is happening. Naturally there is religious theme in the letter. His English is not perfect but it’s good enough, and I have not changed anything in the letter.
As you read it, think of the children and their parents who have no power to do anything except stand by and watch and hope.

Dear Friends and Partners.
Greetings from Pakistan.
Pray for Pakistan!
Our nation is under greatest crises in history, as it was already affected by earthquick in 2005. But in the present time there is much crises.
1.After the assessination of twice time former Prime minister Bainazeer Buhtto, Government and private people businesses, factories, shops, railway engine, buses, cars, banks and buildings have been burnt off. So there is billions of Pak ruppees have been wasted, and there is no answer who is the incharge of all that loss.
So pray for the killers to be arrested by Government as well God give wisdom to Scard-Yard team of England to deal with this case. And poor people who got lost for nothing to be restored.
2.There is terrorism at peack, everyday we hear the news of sucide attacks taking the lives of hundreds and as well there is continues war against Alqida in northern/frontier areas where Government is being effected by giving sacrifice of inocent soldiers and huge budget on emonition. Life is very insecure and upset here.
So pray for the Terrorist’s knee be bent before HIM and they can understand the values of human lives.
3.Pakistan is an agriculteral land, we have femine/lack of wheat, it is very first time in history. Roti/Nan which is made by wheat flour is the biggest thing in our meals, so if we don’t have flour it is like curse, through out the nation poor/rich have been crying out for meals.
Pray for firtelity of the land sothat it can produce enough wheat.
4.There is no water in dams and that’s why there is no sufficient electricity being generated in power plants. So we have sever problems at this time of Load-Sheding mean electricity goes off, and present scheduale is 10/24hours daily, and that’s why factories, business and shops have been shuterd down of which daily wages people as well all the nation have been badily affected financially.
Please pray for enough waters in dams and power plants can generate sufficient electircity for bussiness and life here.
Pakistan is passing under sever crises, government is upset and not making very wise decions. President have announced the second dates 18 Feb as have been postponed because of assessination of Bhutto. Pray for right Prime Minister and party should be elected.
We humble request to stand with us in raising prayer support for Peace and Prosperity in Pakistan.
